our history

Bite group was formed in 1998 by its managing director Michael Keogh. From supplying a number of local retail outlets in Co. Fermanagh, Bite has steadily expanded over the past eleven years and now supplies customers across all of Ireland on a daily basis. In the beginning the business was built around the manufacture and sales of fresh pre-packed sandwiches.  In 2002 the company added a very successful complete sandwich bar solution to its product range in response to a changed approach within retail outlets whereby sandwiches were made in-store for the customer. This range includes fresh sandwich fillers, cooked meats, eggs, tuna and a range of associated packaging.

By 2005 the company was supplying a number of restaurant and international coffee house chains and this has resulted in a further expansion of the product range into third party product sales and distribution.  The growing success of the company resulted in a £2.5 million investment at the start of 2007 in a new BRC (British Retail Consortium) designed factory located in Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh. The new facility has 16,000 sq. ft. storage and production space and 2,000 sq. ft. administration along with a purpose built product development kitchen. The company also employs a full time new product development chef to ensure the continued offering of new and innovative products for all of our customers.
